Travelling ‘my’ World

As a child, I dreamed of adventurous journeys to faraway lands—a daydream that felt unattainable given my circumstances at the time. Only with my own income could I begin to turn that dream into reality, step by step. Gradually, the scope of my travels expanded, and I dared to plan more unconventional destinations.

My professional duties provided occasional support, sometimes taking me to places that had long been on my wish list. Of course, business trips are typically packed with obligations, and personal interests are always a low priority. Yet, over time, I developed a kind of sixth sense for spotting hidden gaps in the official schedule—opportunities I could seize to explore.

Throughout my life, I’ve made some far-reaching decisions seemingly on instinct—spontaneously, intuitively, almost impulsively. And it’s precisely these flashes of inspiration that led to some of my most extraordinary journeys: rafting through the Grand Canyon, traveling to Yemen during a period when kidnappings were a near-daily occurrence, or spending three months backpacking through Southeast Asia with just my camera gear and public transportation.

The project to publish this is challenging and will last – a long time (I don’t dare to guess). So – return here from time to time if you enjoy my pictures and stories and share your comments with me.
